The community fostered at FSC is absolutely unmatched. People are kind, intentional, and gently force me to grow into the person I’ve always wanted to be. They remind me that whomever that is, I can live it. In addition to a loving class, I also fell in love with the dedicated programs and passionate staff. I will never forget my first conversation with my future advisor and Professor, Dr. Rich: “you can be absolutely anything!”
My favorite class has been Approaches to Art History with Dr. Carter. An atypical art history class, the conversations held and questions considered in this course deeply challenge my curious mind, and contribute to a better understanding of not only my other art historical endeavors, but also ways by which I want to live my life.
The first week of my first semester, I challenged myself to say “yes” to as many social opportunities as possible. This small commitment brought some of my closest friends into my life, forging relationships never to be forgotten. This manifested beauty from such a challenge is my favorite FSC memory.
In my spare time, I like to spend time at the Wellness Center working out, participating, and teaching group exercise classes, as well as knocking out some homework at Tutu’s with an iced tea and fruit cup, and exploring the retro city of Lakeland with my sweet friends!
