Tour Guide at Florida Southern College
Class of 2021
Hometown: Peachtree City, GA
Major: Musical Theatre
Secondary Major: Business Administration
I am involved in Greek Life, the Mocappellas (VP of Marketing), the Honors Program, and of course the theatre and dance departments.
My favorite class was my honors public speaking course last semester. There were only eight of us, so it was a very close-knit and supportive little group. We talked a lot about things we were passionate about, and at the end of our semester, our final speech was a 20-minute presentation on something we would like to change on our campus. My partner and I chose recycling. I loved that class because I saw a lot of growth in myself and my public speaking skills and because it helped me discover and develop my own opinions on several topics.
I do photography (mostly as a hobby, but I do freelance work and take headshots and graduation photos). I like to paint (I did art for several years, but now I just do it for fun). I play piano and I enjoy spending time with my beautiful friends and sorority sisters. I like to hike and go on adventures (especially in the mountains), and I like to read (my favorite book is "A Tale of Two Cities").
When I first visited Florida Southern, I fell in love with it for its academic programs, small-college feel, and location, but the aspect that really set it apart from the other colleges I was looking at was the community. Florida Southern is such a positive, loving place, and I wanted to be a part of that.
