I love going to the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings and having study dates at Black and Brew!
When I visited Florida Southern as a high schooler, I was struck by the overall sense of community on campus and throughout the student body. I loved how involved everyone was with on campus organizations, jobs, and academics. I knew I wanted a smaller school, and Florida Southern offered that while still having many of the opportunities that larger schools had. I also really loved the location on Lake Hollingsworth and how beautiful campus was.
Swim, go hammocking, hike, spend time with my friends, go thrifting, and eat snacks!
Going to the Keys for the weekend with a bunch of fellow marine biology majors. The trip was led by Dr. Macrander and we stayed at a local research station. We spent the weekend snorkeling in multiple locations, collecting and identifying specimens, and bonding as a group. It was a great way to get to know the people in my major more as well as getting to see a new part of Florida, and it was a perfect immersive experience for marine biology.
