Why Florida Southern?

Florida Southern became a second home to me very quickly. At Florida Southern I met my best friends and made unforgettable memories that make me who I am today as well as made connections with my professors that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do at any other school. Every professor, staff worker, and student welcomes you with open arms and the willingness to get to know you and help you achieve your goals. I love Florida Southern because they don’t just help you succeed in class, but they help set you up for your plans after college and help you discover interests you may not have known about thanks to the immersive community and the high level of involvement around campus.

What has been your favorite class?

My favorite class on campus is Foundations of Education, which is actually a series of three classes. They are the education courses that help you learn about the basics of teaching, but also help you discover what kind of teacher you are and strive to be. I loved how each course dove deeper into the fundamentals of teaching and gave us the opportunity to analyze not only our own lessons, but others as well.

What is your favorite FSC memory?

My favorite memory at FSC is from freshman year with my best friends that lived in the hall with me. We lived in one of the smaller halls, so we would keep our doors open and have mini movie nights in our friends' room. Having my best friends living so close to me was amazing and it was when we all got so close. Now I can’t imagine my life without them!

In my spare time I like to...

I love going to Disney with my friends! Almost all of my friends have passes at school and from back home. I like getting off campus for a little bit and just being a kid again. Not only do I get to spend the day with my friends, but it’s also a time for us to just relax and forget about school work for a while.
